Resolution Approved to Make Hershey Kiss Official State Candy
(Harrisburg, PA) - State House lawmakers have approved a resolution that would make the Hershey Kiss the official state candy. After about a half hour of debate, the House voted Tuesday to approve the idea. Among the objections raised by critics was that the decree would give preferential treatment to the Hershey's candy products when there are many other candy makers in the state. The resolution contained in House Bill 1030 was approved with bipartisan support in a 130-71 vote.
