RIP John Wetton, one of my favorite rock bassists ever.  He never gets mentioned with the greats, but he belongs there.  Wetton's best-known hit was Asia's "Heat Of The Moment", but before that he played in a number of bands, including Uriah Heep, UK, and most importantly for me, King Crimson.

King Crimson is one of my inner-circle favorite bands, and one of their creative peaks was their 1973-1975 run with Wetton.  Check out this live performance of "Easy Money"

or go full-on prog weird with "Lark's Tongues in Aspic pt 1"

and here's a solo Wetton in 2003 peforming quieter versions of "Book Of Saturday", "Easy Money", and "Starless"

RIP, John.
