John Kapoor is the founder of Insys Therapeutics and he’s on trial for racketeering. The case centers around some more than questionable tactics used to get doctors to write prescriptions for the highest dose of their opioid from the first office visit.
According to the prosecutors, doctors were given cash, lap dances, and Insys was even so bold to make a rap video about the good side of pushing doctors to prescribe the highest dosage of their liquid opioid. It is not a good video either! The take the beat from an A$AP Rocky tune and it gets bad from there.
