Why Do I Always Get Bit By Mosquitos?

Doctor Explains Why Mosquitoes Bite Some People More Than Others

(Cleveland, OH) -- On this World Mosquito Day, it might be worth noting that these insects are definitely attracted to some of us more than others. Dr. Christopher Bazzolli of the Cleveland Clinic says it has to do with the body heat and carbon dioxide we give off, but that's not all. He says the odor we emit is also a factor and since that's based in genetics, there's not much we can do about that. What we can control, he says, is our lifestyle and environment. Dr. Bazzoli recommends using mosquito repellent, wearing loose clothes, avoiding standing water, drinking less alcohol and applying anti-itch cream if you're bitten to reduce the risk of infection.
