Carly Pearce shared the sweet way her mom inspired one of her tattoos.
The hummingbird artist shared a photo of her tattoo, a pair of wings, on her Instagram story on Tuesday evening (February 4). Pearce wrote alongside the photo: “Fun fact: My mom has sent me angel wings in a text ever since I started flying a ton for my job years ago. I got this last year because of my travel fears so she’d always be with me ❤️”
Pearce is set to resume her 2024-2025 world tour with a show on Sunday (February 9) in Stockholm, Sweden. The award-winning artist will continue international tour stops in Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; throughout the U.K. and other destination before returning to the U.S. for another round of shows in March. Pearce’s final tour stop is on May 16, at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
Pearce said in a previous interview with iHeartCountry that “the biggest payoff” to writing music is witnessing firsthand how it resonates with her fans, particularly during live shows. Pearce, who recently hinted at new music, released her latest studio album in June 2024. The highly-anticipated project, hummingbird, includes “country music made me do it,” “truck on fire,” “my place,” “fault line,” “trust issues,” “we don’t fight anymore” with Chris Stapleton, and more. Pearce also served as a producer, alongside longtime collaborators Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
“I have been working so hard on this album for the last few years, and it just feels awesome to finally have it out to the world and to see the way that people are loving it,” Pearce told iHeartCountry. “I think I had a bigger voice and a bigger presence in not only the songwriting this round, but just in the production, and I really got to have a big hands-on part in how every single song sounded. …I feel like they [McAnally and Osborne] really understand me as an artist, and so, getting to go back into the studio this time around with them was just really awesome. We knew what we wanted to do.”
Pearce previously announced that her world tour includes Karley Scott Collins, Matt Lang, Wade Bowen and Carter Faith on select dates. She said on Wednesday (February 5) that “some of my favorite girls” will join the lineup on some of the U.S. dates, including Mae Estes and Tigirlily Gold, plus Faith. “I know y’all are going to be blown away! I have missed being on stage and I can’t wait to see y’all SO SOON 💛”
