The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is holding a lottery for whiskey enthusiasts to purchase limited-release bottles of rare whiskeys and bourbons. The lottery includes sought-after varieties such as Blanton's Bourbon and Woodford Reserve. Registration for the lottery closes at 5 p.m. on Friday (August 8).

According to Fine Wine & Good Spirits, the lottery offers a fair distribution method for these highly coveted bottles. To participate, entrants must be Pennsylvania residents or active licensees, at least 21 years old, and have a verifiable Pennsylvania billing address. Participants can register for one or more lotteries through the Fine Wine & Good Spirits website.

The lottery features 3,705 bottles priced between $59.99 and $7,500, including exclusive options like the Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition Straight Bourbon and the Weller Millennium Straight Bourbon. PennLive reports that the PLCB will conduct nine lotteries, each featuring different spirits. Winners will be notified the week of August 11.

Participants can only win and purchase one bottle per lottery, and winners must present a photo ID at pickup. The bottles must be collected from a designated Fine Wine & Good Spirits location, as home delivery is not available. PhillyVoice notes that the lottery includes rare bottles like the Eagle Rare Double Eagle Very Rare Straight Bourbon and the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection Straight Corn Whiskey.
