Teen Charged for Alleged Knife Threat in Lancaster County

A 17-year-old girl in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, faces charges for allegedly threatening another juvenile with a knife. The incident occurred on Colony Lane in Mount Joy, where the accused reportedly brandished a ten-inch fixed blade knife during a verbal altercation. According to Mount Joy Borough Police Department, the confrontation began as a verbal dispute, escalating when the teen retrieved the knife from a friend's house and returned to the victim's residence.

The police responded to the scene and charged the teen with Simple Assault-Attempt by Menace. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The arrest took place on Sunday (August 16), and the case highlights ongoing concerns about juvenile violence and weapon-related threats in the community.
