In Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Kelvin Perez, a 20-year-old youth leader at Victory Church, faces charges for engaging in sexual acts with a minor. Police allege that Perez, from Holtwood, convinced a 16-year-old girl to sneak out of her home in Warwick Township to meet him for sexual activities in his vehicle between January and April 2025. According to Yahoo News, Perez also persuaded the girl to let him into her house when her parents were away.
The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department began investigating Perez after reports surfaced that he abused his position as a youth leader. Court documents reveal that Perez contacted the victim through Instagram, complimenting her and arranging meetings outside of church events. As Local21 News reports, Perez has been charged with a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors and is scheduled for arraignment on September 23.
Victory Church has yet to comment on the allegations. The case highlights ongoing concerns about the safety of minors in community and religious settings. Anyone who needs to talk can call 800-273-8255 no matter the time of day.
