The CMT Christmas tree acts each holiday season as a luminous magnet for country music’s most prestigious performers, country music industry leaders, and camera-toting visitors. It towers above the CMT Radio Studio, with golden threaded plexiglass ornaments gently decorating its bows and branches carrying on a custom that is as old as the CMT building itself.
On Monday (Dec. 3rd) crooner, Brett Eldredge joined Cody Alan for the celebration of the century. Together they embarked on the Christmas season by lighting the official CMT Christmas tree while being joined by 18 of CMT’s closest coworking pals.
The tree lighting is a 35-year-old tradition that withstands the test of time. The tree will remain lit and on display on the plaza between the north and south elevators of the CMT building until 9 pm on January 7. On Christmas day, the lights shine for a full 24 hours.
