(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Football icon Franco Harris is dead at the age of 72. WTAE-TV reports the Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Famer passed away Tuesday, days before the team celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. It is reported the Steelers were going to retire Harris's number 32 during Saturyday's ceremony. Harris played for Pittsburgh from 1972 until 1983 after graduating from Penn State University. There's no word on Harris's cause of death.
