In honor of Memorial Day, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America's oldest brewery, has released limited-edition patriotic cans. The cans, which feature a red, white, and blue design along with the Stars & Stripes and Team Red, White & Blue logos, are part of Yuengling's annual Summer Celebration initiative to support military veterans.
The cans were unveiled on Wednesday (May 8) and will be available for purchase through the summer in 12-pack and 24-pack cans across the brewery's current 26-state distribution footprint. The initiative is a part of Yuengling's longstanding commitment to honoring service men and women in the United States.
"As the Oldest Brewery in America, our 195th milestone is special, and we take great pride in this year's new Team RWB design on our important flagship Lager cans," said Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer and 6th generation family member. "We are grateful to partner with Team Red, White & Blue, an organization that shares our devotion to the men and women who have served as our nation's heroes.
The release of the special cans marks the start of summer and the height of Yuengling's Stars & Stripes program activity. The program includes a free, family-friendly concert celebration in Yuengling's hometown of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, headlined by multi-Platinum selling American country music star Lee Brice on July 13, 2024
