(Houston, TX) -- The oldest person in the U.S. has died. Elizabeth Francis of Houston, Texas died Tuesday at the age of 115. The LongeviQuest database, which keeps track of the world's oldest people, says Francis was born in Louisiana during the Taft administration in 1909, and lived through two world wars and 20 U.S. presidents. She was living with her 96-year-old daughter when she died. Now, the title of oldest person in the U.S. is passed on to Naomi Whitehead of Greenville, Pennsylvania, who is 114 years old.
