Final Salute: Road Closures for Fallen Officers’ Procession

Today, York County solemnly honors the lives of three Northern York County Regional Police officers—Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker, and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser—who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.

As the community comes together to pay tribute, several key roads in and around Red Lion will be temporarily closed to accommodate the funeral procession and ensure a safe and respectful passage. These closures will begin early this morning and continue through the afternoon, affecting both local and regional traffic.

Residents and travelers are urged to plan ahead, expect delays, and consider alternate routes as we stand united in support of the families, colleagues, and loved ones of these brave officers.

Morning Closures (starting 8:00 A.M. and 9:45 A.M.): Roads like West Broadway/Route 74 and Cape Horn Road/Route 24 will reopen once the procession reaches Living Word Community Church, expected around 10:30 A.M.

Afternoon Closures (starting 1:30 P.M.):Cape Horn Road at Windsor Road and side roads off North Main Street (Route 24) will be closed again to prepare for the return procession from the church back to the funeral home. These roads will reopen after the return procession concludes, likely by mid to late afternoon, though no exact time has been confirmed.

If you're planning travel through Red Lion today, it’s best to avoid the area until after 4:00 P.M., when all ceremonies and processions are expected to be complete.

The service, though not open to the general public, will also be livestreamed once it begins.

The NYCRPD has endorsed the Honor Their Service portal for donations to support the families.
