The Harrisburg Senators have announced the implementation of a clear bag policy at FNB Field beginning with the 2026 baseball season. The new security measure will affect all events held at the stadium.
Under the policy, fans may only bring clear plastic bags measuring no larger than 16 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and 8 inches deep into the ballpark. The team announced the change on Wednesday, noting several exceptions to the rule.
Permitted items include small clutch bags no larger than 7.5 inches by 2 inches by 5 inches, diaper bags for those with infants, and medically necessary items. Traditional backpacks, purses, and other non-clear bags will no longer be allowed inside the stadium.
"Ultimately, this is in everyone's best interest to ensure a safe ballpark for our fans, staff, and players," said **Kevin Kulp**, Senators President. "Plus, a clear bag policy like this makes the ballpark entry process smoother and easier for all of our fans attending a game."
All bags brought to FNB Field will be subject to searches at entry gates. The policy aligns with security measures increasingly common at sports venues nationwide.
The Senators' home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, against the Akron Rubberducks. Fans planning to attend games this season should prepare accordingly by obtaining appropriate clear bags before arriving at the stadium.
For those needing additional information about the policy or other gameday procedures, the team has provided detailed guidelines on their website. The site also includes information about ticket purchases, parking options, and the stadium's cashless payment system.
