Getting Ready for The EAGLES Parade

Philadelphia is buzzing with excitement as the city celebrates the Eagles' Super Bowl 59 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The parade, expected to draw over one million attendees, will kick off at 11 a.m. on Friday (February 14) from Broad Street and Pattison Avenue in South Philadelphia. The route will take the team north on Broad Street, past City Hall, and onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, ending at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The celebration will feature open-air buses carrying players and coaches, who are expected to arrive at the museum between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. The ceremony on the iconic "Rocky" steps will begin at 2 p.m. and conclude by 3:15 p.m. City officials have set up 15 jumbotrons along the route to ensure everyone has a good view of the festivities.

Philadelphia public schools will be closed for the day, and mass transit agencies have made special arrangements to accommodate the large crowds. SEPTA will offer free rides on the Market-Frankford Line and Broad Street Line, thanks to sponsorship from Kevin Hart's tequila company, Gran Coramino.

The weather is expected to be sunny but chilly, with a high of 38 degrees and wind chills in the 20s. Attendees are advised to dress warmly and plan ahead, as cellphone reception may be limited due to the large crowds.

City officials have emphasized safety, with a large police presence and emergency operations in place. The parade promises to be a memorable celebration for Eagles fans and the city of Philadelphia.
