TODAY’S TOPICS:

It’s not your imagination … being near the water makes you happier. Researchers in Spain studied the benefits of different environments on mood and found that taking walks near water -- whether the ocean, a lake, river, or even fountains, make us happier. Scientists call these environments with water “blue spaces.” So, if you're feeling blue, spend some time in a blue space. (Study Finds)

How much do you worry? According to a new survey, if you’re a woman, you probably worry a lot. And, no surprise: Women spend most of their time worrying about other people. The survey found that women spend an average of almost two hours a day feeling worried or stressed. Nearly 70% of this time is spent worrying about other people, rather than themselves. Men spend about an hour-and-a-half worrying each day, with 10% admitting that none of that time is spent concerned about others.

Needless to say, all this worrying is taking a toll on women’s health. The survey found that women are twice as likely to worry about their kids’ health, education, diet and future than men are. 57% of the women surveyed said this leads to them neglecting their own health. And a whopping 72% say they have ignored troubling health symptoms – blaming stress or being tired instead. (SWNS)

Trending on TikTok …There's a new TikTok challenge for cat owners. Well, for cats, really. The test is to see if cats actually care for others. Cat owners on TikTok have started giving their cats an egg to see if they'll "protect" it, and the results are too cute. The answer is that, yes, cats are protective and nurturing. (BuzzFeed

Vegan shark? …A shark sighting near a beach in Israel went from panic to photo op. The shark was swimming very close to shore, near many people in the ocean. But it turned out to be a whale shark, a gentle giant of the sea. These sharks can grow to 40 feet long, making them among the biggest fish in the ocean, but they're harmless to humans and feed mainly on plankton. (Insider
