(Harrisburg, PA) -- COVID-19 cases are increasing in Pennsylvania. The state's Department of Health reported over 1,000 new positive cases yesterday. There are currently 462 people hospitalized with the coronavirus, and of those cases, 87 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit.

(Grantville, PA) -- Construction is now underway on a new Susquehanna Service Dogs training center in Dauphin County. A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday at the location along Gravel Hill Road in Grantville. Susquehanna Service Dogs trains dogs to help those with mobility and psychiatric issues.

>>SCI Camp Hill To Allow Visitors In Starting Next Month

(Camp Hill, PA) -- Visitors will be allowed back in SCI Camp Hill starting next month. Pennsylvania Department of Corrections officials announced yesterday that visitation will resume at the prison in Cumberland County on August 9th. In-person visitation will only be allowed for the permanent prison population. You can find more information on how to schedule a visit by going to cor.pa.gov.

(Lower Swatara Twp., PA) -- A teen from Lower Swatara Township is safe after being reporting missing by his family this week. Cory Lopez went missing Wednesday but it’s unclear where he was found. Police had been asking for help because Lopez has autism and other mental disabilities.

>>Reading School District Student Killed By House Fire

(Reading, PA) -- A Reading School District student is dead following a house fire in the city. The blaze broke out yesterday morning at a home in the 900-block of Muhlenberg Street. A nine-year-old Amanda Stout Elementary student was pronounced dead at the hospital by the Berks County coroner. R-S-D officials say grief counseling services will be made available for students and staff.

>>Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Another Man In Reading Arrested

(Reading, PA) -- A man accused of shooting and killing another man in Reading is now behind bars. Xavier Concepcion was arrested on Wednesday at his residence in Leesport, and he is being charged with first-and-third-degree murder for the death of Victor Aguirre last December. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information on the case is being asked to contact the Reading Police Department or Crime Alert Berks County.

>>Dirt Biker Accused Of Leading Police On Chase In Lancaster

(Lancaster, PA) -- A man is facing several charges after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase through a residential neighborhood in Lancaster County while on his dirt bike. Isaac Hubik is being accused of leading officers on the chase that reached up to 70-miles-per-hour in the New Holland Borough recently. Police say he did escape officers but later turned himself in. He is being charged with fleeing and attempting to elude officers, agricultural vandalism and ten summary traffic offenses.

>>Police Still Searching For Vehicle Involved In Hit-And-Run In Lancaster City

(Lancaster, PA) -- Police are still asking the public for help with finding a car that was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Lancaster City. The incident happened Tuesday evening at Wabank Street near Fairview Avenue when a woman and a child were struck by a red sedan while trying to cross the street. Anyone with any information on the incident is being asked to contact the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.

>>State Looking To Get Those Who Missed Second Appointment Vaccinated

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The state is looking to get those who missed their second dose appointments fully vaccinated from COVID-19. State health officials say if you missed your second dose, there is still time to get it now, there is no excuse and there is no time to lose. They added that you need to be fully vaccinated to have maximum protection. The state will be reaching out to those who missed their appointments through a text campaign starting next week.

>>Governor Announces Aid For Areas Severely Impacted By Floods

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Residents and businesses in Bradford, Lycoming, and Northampton counties that were severely impacted by floods and storms on July 12th are getting some aid. The state is offering homeowners and renters in those areas low-interest loans of up to 200-thousand-dollars to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Businesses and nonprofits can also borrow up to two-million-dollars for repairs. >>Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Allowing In-Person Argument Sessions Again

(Harrisburg, Pa) -- The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court is once again allowing in-person proceedings. Officials say starting in September, the court will start holding monthly oral argument sessions in-person. The public will be able to watch proceedings through live webstreams.

>>Group Accused Of Voter Intimidation In York County

(York County, PA) -- A group claiming to be with a voter verification committee is being accused of voter intimidation in York County. County Commissioner Julie Wheeler says she received a few calls and emails from residents that have received visits from individuals stating they are from an election integrity committee and asking them information about voting. Wheeler emphasized that this group is not associated with the York County government or any department within the local government. Police are now investigating these incidents.
