>>Corman Changes Tact on Gas Tax Funding

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman is pushing legislation to cut the state's 58 cent gas tax. Ordinarily, gas tax revenue plays a big part in providing money for state police and infrastructure projects. Corman's plan had been to use 500-million dollars from the federal American Rescue Plan Act to fund the state police. But now he says that money might be able to come from the general fund because the fund is in good shape financially.
