>>State Game Commission Begins Spraying For Spongy Moths

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Game Commission has begun its yearly spraying operation to protect the trees and wildlife habitats from spongy moths. The operation is conducted across 62-thousand acres of state game lands. The invasive, rapidly-spreading caterpillars feast on oak trees, completely stripping them of all foliage. The spongy moths were formerly known as "gypsy moths."
