>National Rent Prices To Hit $2,000 By August

(Undated) -- It's getting more expensive for some to keep a roof over their head. Rent prices soared to an all-time high last month, with the national average now topping 18-hundred dollars. But a report from Realtor-dot-com shows that number will jump to two-thousand by August, simply due to supply and demand. To break it down, a studio apartment is the fastest growing and comes in at a record 15-hundred dollars a month. A two-bedroom is costing about two-thousand-550.

Florida cities are leading the rent increase. Miami is up nearly 52-percent, followed by Orlando and Tampa. Others on the top ten list include San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, Nashville, Raleigh and Jacksonville.
