Johnson & Johnson Ending Talc-Based Baby Powder Sales In 2023

>>Johnson & Johnson Ending Talc-Based Baby Powder Sales In 2023

(New Brunswick, NJ) -- Johnson & Johnson will stop selling talc-based baby powder next year. This comes two years after J-and-J announced it would stop selling talc-based baby powder products in the U.S. and Canada as it faced lawsuits claiming talc led to ovarian cancer and asbestos poisoning. In a statement Thursday, the company said it stands "firmly behind the decades of independent scientific analysis by medical experts around the world that confirms talc-based Johnson's Baby Powder is safe, does not contain asbestos, and does not cause cancer." The company said it's switching to cornstarch-based baby powder to sustain long-term business growth.
