>Poll Shows Mastriano's Support Down Among Religious Republicans

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A poll of registered Pennsylvania voters shows support has decreased in surprising ways for Republican candidate for governor Doug Mastriano. The Franklin and Marshall College Poll released Thursday shows the candidate lagging Democratic nominee Josh Shapiro, but support also has dwindled among undecided voters and members of his own party. They reportedly say Mastriano isn't doing enough to reach beyond those who already agree with his staunchly conservative platform.

>>Harrisburg-Based Retailer Sued in Overtime Lawsuits

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg-based retail Ollie's Bargain Outlet is being accused of improperly denying overtime pay to its store managers. Two salaried employees in New York have filed lawsuits claiming Ollie's should have paid them overtime since their duties were "virtually indistinguishable" from those of hourly workers. The suits seek class action status, covering all of Ollie's 450 stores nationwide. The discount retailer has denied the charges and argues that the filing isn't entitled to class-action status.

Commission officials say their camera on state game lands in Elk County cover a field that's typically a hub of activity as the bugling season heats up. It's livestreamed at pgc.pa.gov.  

>>Affordable Housing Plan for Veterans Approved

(Reading, PA) - Reading's planning commission has approved a development plan for affordable housing for homeless veterans. Three land parcels in the 600 block of Walnut Street will be combined for the project. The Berks County Redevelopment Authority says it will renovate the existing buildings to create 12 single-bedroom and studio apartments for homeless veterans. The project will cost a little over two-million-dollars and is expected to be finished by the end of this year. 

>>State Lawmakers Hear About Farmers' Worries

(Lancaster Co., PA) -- State lawmakers have met in Lancaster County to hear from ag business owners and farmers about ways the economy is affecting their companies. A House Republican Policy Committee held a listening session Wednesday to hear how inflation has increased the cost of ingredients and supplies by as much as 15 percent over the past 12 months. Farmers also talked about the need for finding good employees to work in the agriculture industry.

>>Nearly $3M in ARPA Funds To Be Used for Land Conservation

(Lancaster Co., PA) - Lancaster County Commissioners have voted to spend nearly three-million-dollars in federal money for land conservation. News releases from the Lancaster Farmland Trust and the Lancaster Conservancy say some two-point-eight-million-dollars of American Rescue Plan Act funding will go toward acquiring and preserving a 90-acre tract of land in Elizabeth Township and a 155-acre nature preserve in Mount Joy Township that is bisected by the county's Conewago Recreation Trail.

(Miami Gardens, FL) -- The Eagles will wrap up their preseason Saturday by visiting the Miami Dolphins. After that, the players will turn their attention to the regular season. Philadelphia will open the season with a game in Detroit to play the Lions on Sunday, September 11th.

>>Allentown Fans Sad to See Bryce Harper Go Back to Philly

( Allentown, PA) -- Allentown IronPigs fans say they're sad to see MVP baseball player Bryce Harper head back to Philadelphia. Harper had originally been expected to play with the Pigs through Saturday to complete a rehab assignment for his broken thumb. He had two home runs on Tuesday and a walk-off double Wednesday to help the local team to big victories. Harper will be reactivated by the Phillies Friday.

>>Mall Gun Scare

(King of Prussia, PA) -- Authorities have arrested a woman for pulling a gun inside of the King of Prussia Mall. It happened yesterday afternoon following an argument in the food court. One thing led to another before a woman displayed a handgun. An officer was inside of the mall and quickly arrested the woman. Nobody was hurt and no shots were fired.
