(Lancaster, PA) -- The fourth and final defendant in the 2016 killing of Dennis Pitch in Salisbury Township has been sentenced in Lancaster County Court. Kristopher Smith was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole on Friday, with an additional term of up to 40 years also added. Prosecutors say Smith and the three other co-defendants planned to rob Pitch after learning he was withdrawing cash from a retirement account. Smith and two other men reportedly entered Pitch's house in December of 2016, killing him and ransacking the home.
