Annual GIANT Teddy Bear Toss Set for Sunday at Hershey Bears' Game
(Hershey, PA) -- Thousands of stuffed animals will come raining down Sunday at the GIANT Center in Hershey. The city's hockey team, the Hershey Bears will battle the Bridgeport Islanders that afternoon at 3 p.m. and the annual Teddy Bear Toss that will come after the first goal will be part of the action. The Bears are the world-record holders for a teddy bear toss. The animals are collected are donated to over 30 local charities. Additionally, the Sweigart Family Foundation has pledged that if the Bears surpass their record total from last season of over 52-thousand bears, they'll make a 50-thousand-dollar donation to Children's Miracle Network.
