Police: 26-Year-Old Adamstown Man Charged In Mother's Strangling Death
(Lancaster, PA) -- Prosecutors have charged a 26-year-old Adamstown man with strangling his mother to death in Lancaster County. Friends of 62-year-old Lois Gift sent police to check on her Monday and they found her dead at her home on Grant Drive. A coroner's report says she died of strangulation. Zachary Gift reportedly confessed to killing his mother after an argument. Police arrested him after he crashed her car in Lebanon County. He was charged Wednesday with murder, strangulation, theft and robbery.
