Coroner identifies 12-Year-Old Shooting Victim
(Red Lion, PA) -- The York County Coroner's Office has identified the young victim of a fatal shooting. Court documents show 12-year-old Kain Heiland died from a gunshot wound that was inflicted by a 13-year-old boy. The shooting Saturday was in the first block of First Avenue in Red Lion. State police say a witness came forward who was friends with both the alleged shooter and the victim and told them it started after the 13-year-old made a joke about the victim's mother. The victim told the 13-year-old to shut up, and the teen allegedly shot the victim once.
