>Former Berks Doctor Gets 26-Plus Years For Sexually Assaulting, Secretly Recording Children
(Reading, PA) -- A 34-year-old former family doctor from Amity Township has been given a prison sentence of at least 26 years. Justin Rutherford was sentenced Monday by a Berks County judge for sexually abusing two boys and secretly recording many children and adults who showered or used the bathroom at his home. Rutherford has been in jail since he was arrested two years ago at a Washington, DC airport after he returned from the United Kingdom. Prosecutors had said he left the U.S. after police raided his home and confiscated electronic devices. He was also accused of plotting to kill one of the young men from prison.
