New National Study Ranks Harrisburg 80th In Country For STDs

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A new study ranks Harrisburg as having the 80th-highest rate nationally of sexually transmitted diseases. The Healthcare research group Innerbody says it used CDC data to determine its list. The capital city of Pennsylvania reportedly was noted for having nearly one-thousand STDs per 100-thousand people. The cases include 40 for HIV, nearly three-thousand chlamydia cases, about 900 cases of gonorrhea and just over 100 cases of syphilis. The study ranked Philadelphia fifth on its list.
