City Council Votes To Officially Terminate ICE Cooperation

(Lancaster, PA) -- The Lancaster City Council has voted to officially terminate cooperation with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. The policy was already in effect but the unanimous vote Tuesday codified the Lancaster Trust Act and made it official. Council Vice President Jaime Arroyo says the action would apply to most ICE cases, except to comply with a court order or when certain crimes would be involved. He adds that city police would cooperate with ICE if mandated by law.
