World's Oldest Conjoined Twins Pass at 62

(Reading, PA) -Two Berks County natives who were the world's oldest conjoined twins have died. A Leesport funeral home says Lori and George Schappell died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on April 7th at the age of 62. George, who has identified as male for the past 17 years, and his sister were joined at their foreheads and were living in Reading when they passed. Their obituaries say George performed as a country music singer. His sister Lori had her own interests and was also an accomplished bowler. The twins had their own home for nearly 40 years. Their cause of death has not been disclosed.
