City Lowers Recommended Number Of Lancaster Police Officers
(Lancaster, PA) -- The City of Lancaster says the police department doesn't need as many officers as previously thought. WHTM-TV reports the city hired a consulting firm to conduct a staffing analysis of the department, and found it should lower the number of recommended officers from 145 to 128. The data used for the analysis included call volume and what time of day emergency calls are being made. The change will not affect any officers currently with the department, as there are only 108.
