Former Harrisburg Police Officer Alleges Sex-Based Discrimination
(Harrisburg, PA) -- A former Harrisburg police officer is filing a lawsuit claiming she faced discrimination because she was a woman. The lawsuit filed by Teresa Covey claims she was passed over for a promotion despite scoring higher on a required exam than two male colleagues that received the promotion she wanted. Covey is seeking back wages and other damages. The city has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
