(Lancaster County, PA) -- The mayor of a town in Lancaster County is gearing up to run for State Senate. The County Democratic Committee has announced East Petersburg Mayor James Malone as its candidate for the open seat in the 36th Senate District. The seat was vacated by Ryan Aument, who left the chamber to take a position in U.S. Senator Dave McCormick's office. Malone's Republican and Libertarian opponents have yet to be selected.
