UMPC Provides Security Update After Shooting
(York County, PA) -- UMPC is continuing to enhance its safety measures after the shooting in February. The healthcare system says some hospital entrances that were previously open to everyone will now only be accessible to employees, and medical detectors will continue be installed in emergency department entrances. UMPC is also working to upgrade its emergency preparedness training for staff. The shooting at UMPC Memorial Hospital on February 22nd continues to be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
