>Dauphin County Commissioners Hold First Meeting After Hartwick DUI Charge

(Dauphin County, PA) -- The Dauphin County Board of Commissioners held their first meeting yesterday since Commissioner George Hartwick was charged with DUI for a crash in the county parking garage last week. Commissioner Chairman Justin Douglas, who previously called for Hartwick to resign, said the county must take "proactive steps" to prevent last week's incident from happening again. Douglas ordered an expedited review of the county's safe driving policies, and also proposed that Hartwick be suspended from operating county vehicles. Hartwick, who was stripped of his oversight duties following the wreck, did not attend the meeting.
