PSP Adds Uniformed Unit To Protect Governor's Residence

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to enhance security at the Governor's Residence after the arson attack last month. PSP is creating a new uniformed unit that will maintain an "additional visible presence" at the home in Harrisburg. It's one of many changes the department is making as part of a security review after a man was able to scale a seven-foot fence and set a fire inside the residence while Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were sleeping. State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris said the review will not be made public, as it contains "sensitive and detailed information."
