Nine, Twelve Year Olds Accused Of Robbing Juveniles In Park

In Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, two boys, ages nine and twelve, have been accused of robbing two twelve-year-old girls at Culliton Park on Saturday night (May 10). According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, the twelve-year-old boy allegedly brandished what appeared to be a handgun during the incident. However, it was later determined to be a realistic-looking BB gun.

The robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. when the boys approached the girls and took their belongings. When the girls attempted to retrieve their items, the twelve-year-old reportedly pulled the BB gun from his waistband, prompting the girls to flee and call for help. Police later found the boys at Strawberry and Fremont streets, where they were detained.

The twelve-year-old has been charged with robbery and conspiracy, while the nine-year-old was released to his parents due to his age. CBS21 reports that earlier this month, another incident occurred at Culliton Park involving a stabbing, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the area.

Crimewatch PA notes that the incident is part of a series of recent crimes in Lancaster, including a separate case involving juveniles found with drugs and firearms. Authorities continue to investigate these incidents to ensure community safety.
