(Lancaster County, PA) -- A mother and daughter in Lancaster County are facing charges for allegedly performing a "dangerous at-home abortion" last year then concealing the baby's body. Authorities say 50-year-old Shannon Jones purchased abortion medication online for her then-17-year-old daughter even though they had been told the about 20-week pregnancy was too far along for termination. The two then reportedly buried the baby's body in the backyard of their home in East Donegal Township, where it was found by investigators this past March. The District Attorney's Office noted the mother and daughter were not being charged for performing the abortion, but for their alleged actions afterward.
