>>Search Continues For Suspects In Fire Company Theft

Authorities in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, are actively searching for two suspects involved in a theft at the Christiana Fire Company. The incident occurred early in the morning on June 12, when the suspects broke into the fire station on South Bridge Street and stole over $50,000 worth of equipment, including vital rescue tools like the jaws of life, a generator, a splitter tool, and a battering ram.

The station was unstaffed at the time of the robbery, and fortunately, there were no emergency calls during the period when the equipment was unavailable.

The theft is part of a larger trend involving the use of stolen hydraulic tools to commit crimes such as breaking into ATMs. A similar incident occurred at a fire department in Cockeysville, Maryland, shortly after the Christiana theft, raising suspicions of a possible connection between the two cases.

Lancaster County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Christiana Borough Police Chief Brian Smyth at 610-593-5199. Tips can be given anonymously.
