Veolia Water customers in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, are dealing with the aftermath of two water main breaks within 24 hours. The first break occurred on Sunday (July 27) near Locust Lane, Garden Circle, and Beverly Drive in Lower Paxton Township, causing minor water discoloration and pressure fluctuations. It was repaired by 3 p.m. the same day, according to CBS21.
The second break happened early Monday morning (July 28) along Derry Street between 47th and 48th Streets in Swatara Township. Leigh Ann Urban from Veolia Water confirmed that the water main was restored by Monday afternoon. Some residents experienced reduced water pressure during the repairs, as reported by CBS21.
Veolia Water has faced multiple water discoloration issues in the past month, affecting areas such as Lower Paxton Township, Marysville Borough, Susquehanna Township, and Swatara Township. These issues began on June 22 and persisted until July 15 in some areas.
Despite these challenges, no boil water advisory has been issued for the affected areas. Residents are advised to remain cautious and stay updated on the situation as it develops.
