A Virginia man, Axel Cano-Anaya, age 22, was arrested following an alleged road rage incident on Friday (August 22) in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. According to police, Cano-Anaya was driving erratically at high speed on I-78 east near mile marker 30.3 when he attempted to pass another vehicle. This maneuver led to a collision with the rear left corner of the vehicle, causing a three-vehicle crash. Cano-Anaya's car then hit a barrier, another vehicle, and a second concrete barrier before coming to a stop.

After the crash, Cano-Anaya reportedly exited his vehicle and attempted to enter the vehicles he had collided with, brandishing a knife at one of the individuals involved. A bystander managed to subdue him before he was taken into custody by the Pennsylvania State Police. Cano-Anaya now faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and careless driving, among other related offenses. He is currently held at Berks County Jail with bail set at $25,000.

The investigation into the incident remains active, and authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the event to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Hamburg. As reported by WFMZ, the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
