Authorities are investigating a shooting in Quarryville Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, that left one man dead and a woman critically injured. The incident occurred overnight Thursday (August 28) on the 100 block of East State Street. Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at around 1:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers observed a motionless individual through a window and entered the residence. Inside, they found a 30-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported her to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
According to police, Marcus Taltoan, 34, was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators believe Taltoan shot the woman multiple times before turning the gun on himself.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities continue to gather information to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
