>Child Hit In Festival Crash Out Of Hospital

A six-year-old boy, Faiz Shafir, who was critically injured during the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has been released from the hospital. On Friday (September 19), a crowd of family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to welcome Faiz home. He had been in the hospital since Labor Day (September 1) after a vehicle drove into the festival, injuring him and two others. Faiz underwent multiple emergency surgeries for severe injuries, including a fractured pelvis and broken bones.

The driver, identified as 37-year-old Elizabeth Ann Bohrer, allegedly drove a red minivan through barricades into the crowd. She faces several charges, including driving under the influence (DUI) and aggravated assault by vehicle. According to Local21News, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo confirmed Bohrer's suspected DUI status.

The Sharif family has expressed their gratitude for the medical team's efforts and the community's support. They have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 for Faiz's recovery. As reported by Bob949, the family is asking for continued prayers and support as Faiz continues his recovery at home.
