Voters in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, head to the polls today (November 4) to cast their ballots in important local elections. The ballot includes elections for judges, school board members, and mayors, as well as retention votes for several Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices. Polls will close at 8 p.m. tonight.

In addition to the statewide retention votes for Supreme Court Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht, Cumberland County voters will decide on local judicial positions, including a common pleas judge. The election also features mayoral races in Carlisle, Chambersburg, and Columbia, among others.

The candidates running for District Attorney in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania for the November 2025 election are Sean M. McCormack (Republican incumbent) and Kimberly Metzger (Democratic challenger).

The retention votes for the Supreme Court justices are particularly notable. These votes occur every 10 years and determine whether justices remain in their roles.

Local school board races are also on the ballot, with candidates often cross-filing to appear on both Democratic and Republican tickets.
