Voters in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, are heading to the polls on Tuesday (November 4) to participate in several important elections, including the retention of three Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices and local mayoral races. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In the state Supreme Court retention election, voters will decide whether to retain Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht, all Democrats, for another 10-year term. A "yes" vote keeps them in office, while a "no" vote initiates a process to elect new justices. These elections are significant as they could impact the court's 5-2 Democratic majority, which influences critical issues like voting rights, congressional maps, and reproductive rights.
In addition to the judicial retention votes, Lebanon voters will decide on their mayor. Incumbent Republican Mayor Sherry Capello is seeking her fourth term against Democrat Cesar Liriano, who ran unopposed in the primary.
