Applications are now being accepted for a vacant seat on the Lancaster City Council. The vacancy arose when Mayor Jaime Arroyo took office earlier this month. The council has 45 days to appoint a new member to fill the position.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, registered to vote in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and have resided in the city for a minimum of two years. Interested individuals must submit their applications by January 23.

This process allows residents to participate actively in their local government by stepping into a leadership role. The council's decision will be crucial in ensuring that the new member aligns with the community's needs and values.

The Lancaster City Council encourages qualified residents to apply and contribute to the city's governance. The selected candidate will help shape policies and decisions that affect the community.
